Glimpse into my unfiltered story that inspired a life-transforming journey of discovery. Even today, I still find it hard to believe that my self-experiment turned out to be the most purposeful endeavour of my life.
My journey started with a painful chapter in 2011 when I was a victim of stress and major hair loss. I dreaded the sight of fallen hair, more so when I ran my fingers through my hair that only grew thinner by the clock. Sadly, my splurge over boujee and celebrity-endorsed products didn’t save me from the eerie maze of hair care, leaving me cornered to my last resort - self-experiment.
After years of research and learning from the industry’s shortcomings, I identified
three 3 pain points that baffled the hair care industry: pregnancy and motherhood, convenience and results. This was followed by a realisation that no hair care
brand was investing in research to produce a formula to overcome the above pain points.
Having found my purpose and a strong adrenaline rush to share this formula with all women, I braved embarked on this entrepreneurial journey to create Tayloani. My heart goes out to the amazing team that helped in the transformation of complicated formulas into market-ready products, especially those who went above and beyond to sacrifice their hair for research.
